An award-winning designer who very closely with Private clients and Architects to achieve the highest level of craftsmanship.
Jackie studied at Chelsea’s KLC School of Design. Once qualified, she honed her skills with Farrow & Ball in London, becoming a trained and approved Farrow & Ball Colour Consultant. She then established the F&B brand in Ireland, where she also handled top clients’ colour consultations.
A series of private interiors commissions led Jackie to launch her own interior design consultancy. With real expertise in colour and paint – and the skill to then layer on the fabrics, furniture and lighting – she has rapidly created a specialist niche with residential clients, small business owners, architects and commercial developers.
Her particular passion is period properties and mixing classic with contemporary effects. In 2013, Jackie McWeeney’s evocative interior concepts for Brabant Court, a substantial early 18th century Georgian townhouse, were recognised when the property received the City Heritage Award “as the finest example of building refurbishment contributing to the enhancement of the environment of the City of London”.
She can specify paint and colours at the start of a project, then take it to the finish line with finish and paint techniques. If a property is still at the design phase, she will take plans from the architect and work from those. Often, she is asked to audit an existing interior scheme, to work within an existing framework and advise on which elements and colours to change, to create a makeover. It’s all about interpreting her clients’ needs, and making their vision a reality.
